General terms and conditions for m-vet.de
Introduction
The provider and publisher of this sales portal is Digitale Lernwelten GmbH. The respective vendor or event organizer of the product is responsible for the products (events and conference proceedings) and their contents.
§ 1 Terms & Scope of the GTC
1.1 All deliveries and services shall be provided exclusively on the basis of the following General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as "GTC") in the version valid at the time of the order.
1.2 The contracting party is the respective vendor indicated on your invoice.
1.3 Customers in the sense of these terms and conditions are all consumers regardless of whether they are natural persons or legal entities.
1.4 Children are not allowed to use our portal and we ask minors (persons under 18 years of age) not to submit any personal data to us or to use the offers on m-vet.de.
§ 2 Conclusion and formation of the contract
2.1 Our offer is binding. With your order you accept our offer to conclude a contract. The contract is concluded with the dispatch of your order to us. You will receive an order confirmation by e-mail.
2.2 When purchasing purely digital products, you will be asked to agree to the execution of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period prior to the completion of your order. This eliminates the usual 14-day withdrawal period used in other places.
2.3 We store your order, the entered order information and the entire contract text. We will send you all order information and the entire contract text by mail.
§ 3 Prices
3.1 All prices include the legal VAT by default.
3.2 Please make sure to correctly indicate the correct invoice address as well as all criteria for discounts relevant to you. A subsequent change of the invoice data is ruled out.
§ 4 Terms of payment
4.1 Payment is made by direct debit, credit card or PayPal.
§ 5 Withdrawal
5.1 Digital-only products
Since digital-only products can be copied and duplicated at will and cannot simply be returned, they are excluded from exchange. Before each purchase of a digital-only product, customers confirm the following dialog via opt-in: "I expressly agree to the execution of the contract before the expiry of the withdrawal period. I have noted that the right of withdrawal expires at the beginning of the execution of the contract."
5.2 Events
When signing up for an event, a general withdrawal period of 14 days applies. However, this period ends at the latest 7 days before the start of the event so that the organizer has planning security. If you register for an event shortly before it starts, you may only have a shortened withdrawal period or even no withdrawal period at all.
5.3 Cancellation procedure (purely digital products excluded)
To make use of your right of withdrawal, please send an e-mail with the following information to support@m-vet.de in due time:
- Your name
- E-mail address of your account at m-vet.de
- Name of the event
- Account details for the refund of the costs
5.4 The date of receipt of your e-mail is decisive for the effectiveness of your cancellation. If the withdrawal is received in due time, the full purchase price of the cancelled event will be refunded to the specified account.
§ 6 Cancellation of events
6.1 The seller/organizer expressly reserves the right to cancel economically unprofitable events or events that cannot be held for reasons of illness unilaterally.
6.2 Customers who had already booked an event at the time of cancellation will be notified by e-mail and will receive a full refund of the purchase price.
6.3 Cancellation of an event will be made no later than 7 days before the start of the same event by e-mail.
§ 7 Warranty
7.1 The warranty is provided in accordance with the legal requirements.
7.2 The provider strives to ensure the proper operation of its offerings at all times. For this purpose, the provider cooperates with various hosting providers located in Germany, which guarantee the availability of the offers to over 99 percent. However, the provider assumes no responsibility for possible server failures for which these partners are responsible.
7.3 Maintenance work on the technical systems takes place between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. During this time, there may be occasional restrictions on use.
The provider uses current and generally proven technologies for its service. In order for you to be able to make full use of the offers available here, please keep your operating system and Internet browser as up-to-date as possible. If you use outdated operating systems and Internet browsers, it is possible that the offers and services provided will only be usable to a limited extent.
§ 8 Liability
8.1 Liability and damage claims relating to the use or non-use of the offers are generally excluded, unless there is evidence of intentional or grossly negligent fault.
8.2 The provider expressly reserves the right to change its offers without prior notice.
8.3 The provider expressly reserves the right to dissolve the contract and restrict access to the service should it become apparent that the customer has purchased a product using false information, e.g. in order to pay a discounted price for the product. If it turns out that there is evidence of attempted fraud on the part of the customer, the provider reserves the right to take legal action.
§ 9 Copyright, trademark, name and property rights
9.1 The contents of the Portal and the products sold through the Portal are protected by (copyright) law.
9.2 Any use of content by the consumer beyond the intended personal use of the texts, images, films and other materials requires the express consent (§ 183 of the German BGB) on the part of the provider or the respective vendor.

§ 11 Other
11.1 The contractual language is German. German law shall apply exclusively. The German version of these translations and terms and conditions shall prevail. The English version is for information purposes only.
11.2 The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution, which you can find at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
11.3 These GTC shall remain binding in their remaining parts even if individual points are legally invalid.
11.4 The provider reserves the right to change these terms of use without giving reasons, as far as this is necessary due to changes in the services of its offers or due to legal changes or as a result of technical developments.
